Town Meeting · Meeting of March 27, 2026
Chester Special Town Meeting approves $20,000 for fire department vehicle. Registered voter Nate Bolduc moved to increase the original $14,000 article, and the amended article passed unanimously with 18 voters present, allowing the Fire Chief to purchase and equip a used pickup truck for emergency response and incident command. In separate unanimous votes, the town established an Insurance Stabilization Fund to mitigate fluctuations in municipal insurance costs, approved a $1,300 payment to UFASI for prior-year fiscal advisory services, and shifted a Gateway Regional School District bleacher purchase from an eight-year loan to a $2,000 free-cash donation.
A proposed Glamping By-Law amendment was tabled pending completion of the text.
