Finance Committee approves town, board budgets with selectman stipend reduced

Chester Finance Committee unanimously approves FY27 town and Board of Selectmen budgets. Members Sr. Judith Dalesandro, Florence Bolduc, Mary Ann Pease, Bob Daley, Joe Ryan, Jon Williams, and Nick Chisuano voted to reduce each selectman's stipend to $3,250 while maintaining the Town Administrator salary as requested.

The committee approved departmental budgets for twelve town offices and departments as submitted, including Administrative Assistant, Park and Recreation, Insurance and Retirement, and Building Department. The Historical Society's request for a new jail roof was transferred to Capital Stabilization funding.
