CHESTER — Hamilton Memorial Library trustees finalize summer reading program and facility improvements. Chair Karen Savoy led the June 9 meeting with trustees Linda Koske, Mary Ann Pease, Tammy Merenda, and Maureen Surnier, who unanimously approved prior meeting minutes. Librarian Tammy Merenda reported the summer reading program is ready with books, stickers for a sash, and a music program for children.
The library raised $640.81 from a book and bake sale and has $825.30 from the Cultural Council account for summer programming. The trustees purchased a table and umbrella for the front lawn, installed a flower box around the library sign, and are addressing heating issues in the museum and community room.
