CHESTER — Planning Board advances glamping bylaw, defers trailer-storage discussion. Chair Liz Massa and the board reviewed three bylaw amendments at the March 11 meeting. The glamping amendment, previously vetted by the Select Board, advanced to public hearing scheduling.
The trailers bylaw amendment remains under discussion after the Select Board flagged it for additional review, with Town Administrator Andrew Alward noting enforcement concerns and suggesting the town designate storage locations for personal travel trailers. The board also discussed Battery Energy Storage System bylaw updates following a March 5 state deadline, with board member Bob Daley noting state authority over Tier 3 proposals, while neighboring towns Becket and Worthington have voted to maintain solar and BESS moratoriums.
