CHESTER — Select Board approves conservation restriction protecting 87 acres on East River Road. Chair Brian Forgue moved to approve the permanent restriction, which will keep the land undeveloped except for agricultural use while providing public fishing access and excluding a 10-acre homestead; the motion passed unanimously. Sally Loomis, who championed the protection, cited tight grant deadlines and noted the Hilltown Land Trust would hold the restriction.
The board also unanimously appointed Paul Waite to the Open Space Plan Committee and approved the Annual Town Meeting warrant, while deferring a vote on reallocating Prospect Street project grant surplus to a future meeting.
