Chester Select Board offers town accountant post to Margaret McClellan. The Tolland resident, with 27 years of municipal experience and expertise in municipal light department finances, won unanimous approval over competitor Brandi Page after interviews. McClellan committed to at least five years and one in-person day per week.
The Board also unanimously approved five employee policies and voted to opt out of vote-by-mail for May's town election, with absentee voting to remain available. Chair Baldasaro secured support from Board members Forgue and Gauthier for a 3 percent cost-of-living adjustment and 2 percent raise for Town Administrator Andrew Alward.
