Select Board · Meeting of March 2, 2026
Chester Select Board approves Open Space Plan Committee and three Board of Registrar appointments. The board, with members Brian Forgue and Craig Gauthier present, unanimously created the Open Space Plan Committee to outline town recreational land uses and improve grant eligibility, inviting representation from the Conservation Commission, Water Department, Planning Board, and Parks and Trails Director Liz Massa, with Veronica Marr volunteering to serve. The board waived a two-week waiting period and unanimously appointed Keirsen Broman, Holly Garvey, and Carol Hepworth to the Board of Registrars ahead of town elections.
Town Administrator Andrew Alward reported that employees began using the Harper's payroll timeclock system with no major issues, and that new Town Accountant Margaret McClellan started the previous week and is becoming operational.
